Keep an eye on these talents not playing in the national team in IPL
IPL: Star and emerging player’s hat IPL. The world knows many newcomers as well as famous players through this franchise competition.
Many have chosen the IPL as a platform to showcase their talents, who may not have enjoyed playing international cricket for their respective national teams.
The 14th edition of this one of the best franchise tournaments in the world is going to start on April 9. Take a look at the five people who can spread the light in this room.
Krishnappa Gautam (Chennai Super Kings)
When the Mahendra Singh Dhoni franchise spends around Rs 9 crore on a player who has no taste of international cricket, he has to move. Even though he did not play in the national team, Krishnappa Gautam is a familiar face to those who watch IPL regularly.
IPL: Earlier, Rajasthan Royals had spent Rs 62 million on the spinning all-rounder from Karnataka, who got a taste of IPL for Mumbai Indians. In the first season, he took 11 wickets in 14 matches and batted at a strike rate of about 200, but in the next two seasons, Gautam could not do anything. The result?
Rajasthan leaves him. Chennai Super Kings, Rajasthan’s opponent, was the first to take advantage of this in the IPL final. Leaving Harbhajan Singh, the franchise was looking for a native finger spinner who could bat at the end of the innings. This cricketer is so valuable because of the way Gautam’s style of play matches the needs of Chennai.
The 32-year-old all-rounder has a strike rate of 159.24. At least on paper, it doesn’t seem like Dhoni has poured money into the pot!
Shah Rukh Khan (Punjab Kings)
Preeti has bought Shah Rukh!
What, seems like an enigma? For those who follow the IPL, it may seem like a riddle now. Incidentally, Bollywood star Preity Zinta’s team Punjab Kings, which has given birth to humor on Twitter, has fielded an Indian cricketer named Shah Rukh Khan in the IPL auction this time. Cricketer Shah Rukh’s name has been kept in mind, but it is still going on. Shah Rukh has never played in an Indian jersey. The 25-year-old Chennai-born cricketer does a little bit of right-handed leg-spin, but his main identity is as a right-handed batsman. Punjab did not have to reduce the cost for him, 5 crores 25 lakh rupees! But his base price was only 20 lakh rupees. In the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy of the 2020-21 season, many have turned a blind eye by batting at a strike rate of 220. In all, he has played 31 matches and has a strike rate of 131.
Angel Parikkal (Royal Challengers Bangalore)
IPL: 2021The batsman of Virat Kohli’s team said last season that the crazy Kohli did not take the risk of fielding him. The IPL can see six of those talents again. The batsman’s average in this year’s Vijay Hazare Trophy was 146.4. He scored four centuries in a row. The last time he played very well in IPL, he scored more than 400 runs. As a batsman who has not played for the second national team in IPL history, Parikkal has scored more than 400 runs in a single season, winning five ‘Fifty’ Emerging Player awards. If you continue to improve, you can get a place in the squad for the T20 World Cup to be held at the end of the year.
Ruturaj Gaikwad (Chennai Super Kings)
IPL: Last time, Mahendra Singh Dhoni’s Chennai Super Kings had the worst season in history. The only positive aspect out of thousands of negatives was the batting of opening batsman Ruturaj Gaikwad.
He played six matches in the second half of the season and made three fifties. Who knows, Dhoni might have got better service from him if he had not been affected by Kovid at the beginning of the season. This time he has scored a century against Himachal Pradesh in the Vijay Hazare Trophy and has said that he is ready to take charge of the top order of Dhoni’s team.
Rahul Tewatia (Rajasthan Royals)
IPL: Those who have watched the IPL last time have regularly noticed the thrill of English commentator Graeme Swann about a leg-spinning all-rounder in Rajasthan Royals matches. The name of this leg-spinning lower-order batsman is Rahul Tewatia.
IPL: Earlier in the season, Kings XI, Punjab hit five sixes in an over against Kings XI Punjab, causing a tremor in the chest of a star like Yuvraj Singh! He scored 255 runs in 11 innings at an average of 42.5 with an overall strike rate of 139.34. England was called up for the series as a reward for good performance. Couldn’t play international matches though.
This leg spinner was also very effective last time with the ball. He was the second-highest wicket-taker of the team with 10 wickets.
